More Compensation Funds for Mis-Sold PPI
Lloyds banking group recently added another £700 million to pay in compensation to anyone who was mis-sold Lloyds PPI. Lloyds, which is 40% owned by the UK taxpayer, initially set aside £3.2 BILLION for their mis-sold Lloyds PPI and have already increased it by £375 million earlier this year.
The Big Five
Lloyds are not the only bank to recently increase the amount they have set aside for mis-sold PPI claims. HSBC have also set aside a further £340 million to pay their mis-sold HSBC PPI policy compensation claims. The “Big Five” – Barclays, HBOS, HSBC, Lloyds TSB and RBS – have set aside over £10 BILLION to date to deal with mis-sold PPI compensation claims.
